CHRIS RANKIN
THAT GINGER BLOKE

Chris Rankin was just 16 years old when he wrote to request an audition for the role of Percy Weasley in Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone. He went on to portray the character for over a decade, becoming part of one of the most beloved and successful film franchises in cinema history.

Today, Chris is a performer, producer & theatrical creative based in South Wales. He lives with his partner Ness, their dog Stanley, and their horses Missy, Molly, and Mali.

A passionate advocate for community theatre and amateur dramatics, Chris serves as Lead Producer and Chair of Brecon Little Theatre, a charity-based theatre company in Mid Wales dedicated to fostering local talent and creativity whilst keeping access to live theatre affordable.

Chris is also a regular guest at Comic Cons and fandom events around the world, where he connects with the global Harry Potter community and shares insights from his time in the films.

Alongside his creative work, Chris actively supports charitable initiatives, helping to raise funds for a variety of causes, with a particular focus on LGBTQ+ organisations and community theatre.
